                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN
                   UNOPENED, UNNAMED RIGHT-OF-WAY, LOCATED
                   SOUTHWEST OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD AND NORTHWEST
                   FROM GUNBARREL ROAD, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an unopened, unnamed right-of-way, located 
southwest
         of Shallowford Road and northwest from Gunbarrel Road, more
         particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
        
                A 58.8 foot wide unopened unnamed right-of-way
                beginning on the northeast line of a 25 foot wide
                unopened unnamed right-of-way (said 25 foot
                right-of-way being 1279.7 feet southwest of, and
                parallel to, the southwest line of the original
                right-of-way of Shallowford Road)  300 feet
                northwest of the intersection of the northeast line
                of said 25 foot street with the northwest line of
                Gunbarrel Road (as originally dedicated), and
                extending northeast 305 feet between parallel
                lines, and parallel to Gunbarrel Road.  Said street
                separates lots 5-7 and part of lot 4, block 1, from
                lots 5-7 and part of lot 4, block 2, Brookshire
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 12, page 39, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 149H-E-9.

              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
